Things I have said that I immediately Regretted..
We all have said things right… ☠️
Well rather than give an outline… here’s some of mine.. 🙃
My girlfriend had spent the entire day doing weaves and braids on the family and we decided to come chill and give her a break. As she is finishing up her daughter’s braids (while this kid is struggling) I say “Man, I don’t think I could do extensions it’s just too much work”. (I was on my phone looking at my other friends salon page and her gorgeous work but the thought of having extensions made my head itch)
The way this girl looked at me. Currently doing braids… and had been weaving ALL DAY just because that was basic for their hair type.. 🥹🙃 oops.. I went in the other room and put myself on time out and took a shot with the guys while we waited for her to finish. 🥴

I asked my friend at the clinic where I was getting infusions at the time what their plans for summer were… they had cancer and were there for their treatment … they weren’t going to make it to the summer. There was a pause then I spent the rest of the time over talking trying to talk about ANYTHING else..
Another time..
I asked a doctor to “dumb it down for me doc I’m a blonde” … he was also blonde.. we stared in silence until he finally explained it.
Another time…
My friend and I were drunk in the park behind my house and I had forgotten I had also taken my medication at the time (which was a don’t mix blend) and the entire time she kept spitting out weird random facts. I was getting about every other word and the only things I could say correctly were giggles along with “you’re so stupid” . Like no dude, she wasn’t. ☠️ I was fried and talking to myself but I couldn’t tell her that… (she still shows people the recordings like “she’s an idiot”)

This one guy was trying to hit on me and kept saying things like “You have the most beautiful blue eyes I’ve ever seen”, “what color blue are they?”… I was actually confused and seeing as I didn’t know what to compare it to I went with the last thing I saw that was blue. “Ex-lax”. 🥴 (there was a girl in the bathroom talking about how she needed her little blue pill. I was like oh what is it!? 🤣😭😅) …He left after that.

I had a girl next to me while I waiting for our drinks and she started talking to me, very friendly. She mentioned her ex liked the drink I ordered. I blurted out “Oh so he was gay?” She started crying..

My ex mother in law was telling me about this little bump on her face and she couldn’t get it to go away so she just left it alone. I was like “I’m a picker so I’d definitely pick it til it was gone”.. she was like “well I tried and it’s still there so..” and we just kind of awkwardly smiled at each other and changed the topic.. (I’m still mortified by this.. I had a kid do this with me about one of my moles and I immediately was like yup.. that was karma for not shutting my mouth ☠️😭)
Regrettable moments can happen to anyone, whether in casual conversations or high-pressure situations. It's common to say something without thinking, leading to moments that stick with us long after. For example, many people have experienced awkward silences after unintentionally offending someone, which can be more common in our everyday interactions. Laughter often becomes our coping mechanism; it helps ease the tension from these cringe-worthy situations. Consider reflecting on how others reacted in moments of discomfort; their responses can vary from laughter to offense and can provide insight into the social dynamics at play. Additionally, sharing these experiences can foster connections as others relate their own mistakes, creating a sense of community and shared humanity. Mistakes are a vital part of life, shaping how we communicate and connect with others. They often lead to important lessons: to think before we speak, to consider the feelings of others, and to embrace our imperfections. So, while we all might have stories of things we regret saying, they remind us of our shared experiences and the importance of kindness in conversation.
