How to keep the bugs away during hot seasons! ✨
I am obsessed with having a bug free home! Don’t get me wrong they are welcome outside but not inside!! ❤️🫶🏻
Buying property with a pool was a change for us!
We had never dealt with mosquitoes or all the flying things that come around specifically for the pool!
We got ahead and started researching! I had my methods passed down from my family but we needed some extra with the pool! 🏊
Fun fact*** you can take Irish spring soap and rub it around all of your windows and doors and the base of your home to keep bugs away! I do it 2x a year! ❤️🫶🏻 (can get a two pack at dollar tree!) 💵
We do also have a canopy out side where we do keep a bug zapper in it! When we do parties where the kids flock with a ton of sugar we always make sure to have it turned on to make sure all the littles are safe!
It hasn’t been bad enough we have had to use repellent (we keep our house maintained) how ever when we do lake trips 💦 always use lavender on your scalp and wash with the Irish spring! (Easiest repellent!) or you can easily buy a good one now! ❤️🥰
Like any day in the hot ☀️ sun!! Don’t forget sunscreen! We have a system down to an art form! Haha LINE UP! Arms out, chin up, and turn!!! 😂❤️(spray for the body and liquid for the face neck and ears!) 👂
Keeping your home bug-free during the summer can be a daunting task, especially if you have a pool. Here are some additional tips and products that can help enhance your bug control strategy: 1. **Cutter Citro-Guard Candles**: These candles are known for repelling mosquitoes and other insects effectively. Place them on tables outside during gatherings for added protection. 2. **Insect-Repelling Incense**: Use incense scents like mint, lemon, citronella, and tea tree eucalyptus to create a bug-free zone in your outdoor area. 3. **Quality Hand Soap**: Consider using hand soaps with scents like lavender, lemon, and Irish Spring, which can deter bugs. Wash regularly to keep these scents fresh in your home. 4. **Regular Maintenance**: Ensure you have your home treated for bugs at least once a month, focusing on entry points and potential breeding grounds. 5. **Bug Zappers**: Utilize bug zappers around outdoor areas, especially during parties, to keep flying insects at bay. This is particularly important when children are around sugary treats. By combining these products and strategies, you can create a comprehensive plan to protect your home from insects this summer!
