Yule Symbols
Some of us use winter greenery like wreaths, mistletoe, and holly along with candles and bells every December. But few people know why these traditions became part of Yule and the winter season at all. 🌲✨
Across Norse, Germanic, Roman, and medieval European cultures, these items weren’t just decorations. They were symbols of protection, renewal, endurance, community, and the hope that light would return in the heart of winter.
