Hey art lovers! I'm so thrilled to share some more thoughts behind my latest creation, this vibrant abstract duck painting that you see here. When I first envisioned this piece, I wanted to capture the playful spirit of a duck but through a lens of pure color and texture, rather than strict realism. The idea was to create something that truly pops and brings a smile to your face! Inspiration & Process: I often find inspiration in everyday life, and for this 'Quack' piece, it was the simple joy of watching ducks glide on the water. I started with a loose sketch, focusing on the duck's form, but quickly moved into layering multiple colors. I wasn't aiming for a specific shade but rather let the colors guide me. Using blues, greens, and even some unexpected purples, I built up the base, allowing them to blend and create new hues right on the canvas. The background was just as important – I really enjoyed experimenting with a textured background to give the whole piece more depth and a tactile feel. I used a palette knife for some areas, which added a lovely roughness that contrasts beautifully with the smoother parts of the duck. Color Choices: For me, abstract art is all about emotion and expression through color. The vibrant, multiple colors I chose for this duck were meant to convey energy and cheerfulness. I love how different shades of yellow, orange, and even a touch of magenta came together to form the duck's body, making it feel alive and dynamic.
