So I’m a former hair stylist! Here to give you the tea on why your stylist won’t answer your calls. Because let be real, we clients can be a mess!!!

Part 1: you show up with your hair tangled! Getting your hair detangled can be time consuming and a lot of hair stylists are not trained in doing so quickly without hurting the client.

It is soooo important to tell your stylist about the condition of your hair before you arrive. It helps them prepare to serve you, and it can also help you make a better decision as a client. Maybe they won’t have time to do it, or they won’t know how… if you communicate this issue beforehand, you can find someone else who is a better fit for you and avoid a negative or traumatic hair experience.

Also, i have a very tender scalp and most of the time when i detangle on my own, it just feels better. Which is why i try to do it before i get to the chair.
