Here are some of my recent reads and my opinions on them…
1. Ward D by Freida McFadden- I’m a BIG Freida fan and this is probably one of my favorites I’ve read from her thus far. The atmosphere was spooky and it really took me there in my imagination. Also, Spider Dan. 😭❤️
2. Never Lie by Freida McFadden- My girl Freida did it again! You think you know where the story is going and then BAM! I read it in one sitting. Definitely a fun quick little thriller.
3. The Teacher by Freida McFadden- Are you noticing a trend here?? 🤔 Anyways, I had HIGH hopes for this one since I’m a fan of all her other work. I felt let down. Don’t get me wrong, it was an interesting/intriguing storyline but I just wanted better, ya know?? Anyways, read in one sitting again. Fast, fun paced book.
4. AGGGTM by Holly Jackson- Y’all don’t come for me for this, but it was very “meh” for me. I had to restart this book 2-3 times because I just couldn’t get into it. Once I got a decent chunk in I did enjoy the story line. Overall it wasn’t too bad, but I had no interest in reading the second or third book in this series.
5. Tampa by Alissa Nutting- HOLY SH*T! Please please PLEASE look up trigger warnings for this book before you read it. I was intrigued by the main characters point of view and getting a glimpse into her mind and why she did what she did. I did have to walk away for a breather a few times because of the subject matter. I wouldn’t read it again, but I’m glad I read it once. If only for the experience.
6. There Are No Saints by Sophie Lark- Again, felt “meh” about the storyline. I didn’t feel like there was a bunch of development on the characters. I bought the sequel but have not read it yet.
7. Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak- YAAAAASSSS!! This book got me out of a slump and would recommend to anyone who likes a good spooky story. I would pay LOTS of money to read this again. Love, love LOVED this book.
8. Home Is Where The Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose- This is my most recent read. It was a bit slowing moving in the beginning, but once it picked up it PICKED UP! At no point did I expect the twist that came. I thought I knew, I was wrong.
