... Read moreHey everyone! I absolutely adore having a phone setup that feels like an extension of my personality, and for me, that's all about a dreamy pink aesthetic. You might have seen glimpses of my phone, but I wanted to share even more tips and tricks on how you can achieve a super aesthetic phone, whether you're into pink, pastels, or something totally different!
First things first: Your Wallpaper Sets the Vibe. My lock screen features a lovely pink, wavy background, and my main wallpaper is a custom collage-style design with soft pinks, browns, butterflies, and flowers. Don't just pick any image! Think about your overall color scheme. Pinterest is an absolute goldmine for finding aesthetic wallpapers – just search for 'pink aesthetic wallpaper iPhone' or 'minimalist phone background.' You can also use apps like Canva or PicMonkey to create your own unique collage-style phone wallpaper, adding personal touches like your favorite quotes or subtle patterns.
Next up, Custom App Icons and Widgets are Game Changers. This is where the magic really happens to transform your home screen from basic to beautiful. I heavily rely on Widgetsmith, as you might have noticed with my floral and bicycle images integrated into my home screens. Widgetsmith lets you create custom widgets for things like time, date, battery percentage (just like my 94% battery widget shown!), weather (76° and a heat advisory!), photos, and even custom text. The key is to match the colors and fonts of your widgets to your chosen aesthetic. For my pink theme, I make sure all my Widgetsmith creations have a consistent pink or muted tone.
To really nail the aesthetic, you'll want to dive into Changing Your App Icons. This takes a little more effort but is so worth it! Using the Shortcuts app, you can create custom icons for all your frequently used apps like YouTube, Weather, Duolingo, Pinterest, Safari, Gmail, Spotify, and even your Phone and Messages apps. There are tons of free icon packs online, or you can design your own to perfectly match your pink aesthetic. This allows you to replace default icons with custom images that fit your theme, giving your home screens a truly personalized and cohesive look.
Finally, Organization is Key to a Clean Aesthetic. Even with beautiful icons and widgets, a cluttered home screen can ruin the vibe. I like to group my apps into themed folders, such as 'Social Networks,' 'Music,' 'Travel,' and 'Productivity' (as seen on my home screens), keeping my most used apps easily accessible on the main screens or in the dock. Don't be afraid to leave some blank space on your home screens; it creates a clean, minimalist feel that really lets your aesthetic shine through. Remember, an aesthetic phone isn't just about looking good; it's about creating a space that feels calm and inspiring every time you pick it up!
How do you do that?
