Hey everyone! So glad you liked my Kuromi homescreen! I know how exciting it is to personalize your phone and truly make it *yours*. After getting so many questions about how I put everything together, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into the process so you can create your own super cute Kuromi-themed phone, whether you're aiming for a full kuromi phone theme or just want some sassy kuromi widgets or a cool kuromi wallpaper collage. First things first, let's talk about sourcing those perfect visuals. My go-to, as mentioned, is Pinterest! It's a treasure trove for kuromi motif and kuromi wallpaper ideas. When you're searching, try various terms like "Kuromi aesthetic wallpaper," "Kuromi phone background," or even specific moods like "dark Kuromi wallpaper" or "pastel Kuromi." Don't just save the first few you see; create a dedicated board for your homescreen project. This helps you curate a cohesive collection. Look for images that fit your desired color palette – usually black, purple, pink, and white for Kuromi. Sometimes, you'll find amazing kuromi wallpaper collage ideas directly on Pinterest that you can use as inspiration or even download. Remember to pick high-resolution images for the best look on your screen! Next up, the magic of kuromi widgets! This is where apps like Widgetsmith come into play. If you've never used it, it's super straightforward. Download Widgetsmith (you might have seen 'Nidgetsmith' or 'dgetsmith' in some screenshots, but Widgetsmith is the one!). Open the app and choose the size of the widget you want (small, medium, or large). Tap on it, select "Photo" or "Custom," and then choose the Kuromi image you saved from Pinterest. You can add multiple widgets and assign different photos to each. For example, I have a large widget with a stunning Kuromi art piece and a small one with a cute Kuromi and My Melody pic. You can also integrate date and time widgets with a Kuromi background for a truly custom feel. Experiment with different layouts on your homescreen to see what looks best! Finally, let's tackle those custom app icons. This is what really ties the whole kuromi phone theme together. You'll primarily use your phone's built-in Shortcuts app. Find or create custom Kuromi icons – again, Pinterest is great for this, or you can even design your own if you're feeling creative. Once you have your icon images: Open the Shortcuts app. Tap the '+' icon to create a new shortcut. Search for "Open App" and select it. Tap "App" and choose the app you want to customize (e.g., Youtube, Instagram, Amazon, Crunchyroll). Tap the three dots (...) at the top right, then "Add to Home Screen." Tap the icon next to "Home Screen Name and Icon," choose "Choose Photo," and select your custom Kuromi icon. Give your shortcut a name (e.g., "YouTube") and tap "Add." Repeat this for all the apps you want to re-skin! It takes a little time, but the end result of a fully themed Kuromi phone is so worth it. Don't forget to organize your apps into folders to maintain the aesthetic. A clean, uncluttered look really enhances the kuromi motif. I hope these extra tips help you create the Kuromi homescreen of your dreams! Seriously, it makes checking your phone so much more fun. Show me your creations if you try it! 💖
