Week of outfits: Birthday Edition
I turned 20 this week!! 🕺🏾 I’m coming out of a major slump, so I was super excited to get dressed up this week. I had a pretty good time celebrating and shopping. 😊
Hey everyone! Turning 20 was such a milestone for me, especially after feeling a bit down lately. This past week was all about celebrating my 20th birthday in style, and I wanted to share some extra tips and details on how I planned my outfits and got ready for each day. It’s all about feeling good in what you wear, whether you're taking a mirror selfie or out having fun! Let's dive into some of the looks and how they came together. For a casual yet chic start to the week, my shopping day look was a comfy pink cropped hoodie paired with a gray top and a denim skirt. It’s perfect for running errands but still feels put-together. When planning your own shopping outfit, think about layers and comfortable shoes – you never know what gems you’ll find! My actual birthday outfit was all about comfort and celebration. A light pink cropped zip-up hoodie with matching flared pants made me feel so festive! When it’s your special day, don't be afraid to embrace a color you love. Pink just felt right for my 20th birthday vibe. Later in the week, for a Valentine's Day outing, I opted for a maroon long-sleeve top and those versatile flared pants again. It’s amazing how changing just the top can transform an outfit. For a more sophisticated vibe, I loved rocking a white cropped cardigan over a white top with a vibrant pink bodycon skirt. This look was definitely a favorite for a slightly dressier occasion. And even for my 8 AM nursing class, I made sure to stay comfy but cute with a pink zip-up hoodie, a graphic t-shirt, black pants, and my trusty pink backpack. It proves you can always add a touch of personality, even in practical settings! Now, let's talk about the 'getting ready' part, especially the makeup! For my birthday look, I focused on a soft, glowing base with soft pink tones on my eyes and cheeks. I absolutely love how a little highlight can catch the light in a mirror selfie. Throughout the week, I experimented with different moods – some days called for warm tones and a more natural lip, while for my birthday, I went for a more noticeable look with pink eyeshadow and super glossy lips. Don't forget that perfectly applied makeup can truly elevate your entire look and make those close-up mirror selfies pop! Speaking of mirror selfies, here are my quick tips: Find good lighting (natural light is usually best!). Experiment with angles – sometimes a slight tilt or a different arm position makes all the difference. And don't be afraid to try different expressions, whether it's a confident smile or a subtle "pouty expression" like I did. The key is to have fun with it and capture your authentic style. My biggest advice for anyone celebrating a milestone like their 20th birthday is to choose outfits that make you feel amazing. It's your moment to shine, so wear what brings you joy and confidence. These outfits aren't just clothes; they're memories of a super special week!

You are so pretty!!!❤️
