If you’ve been following my journey, you know we’ve navigated the hardest times these last few years. When the opportunity presented itself to be able to do what I love while still being able to be present for Brandon and navigate a better work life balance, I knew it was the Lord leading me to something good. I prayed so long and hard about this decision, and it has come with nothing but peace and a knowing that this is exactly where the Lord wants me next. It’s emotional because I’ve dedicated so much of my life to my site but most of all I will be saying goodbye to all of my past and present students. That’s going to gut punch me on the last day of school. Thank you for being here, and I hope you come along for whatever is next for me, for us. 🥹 #teacher #teachersoftiktok #teaching #positive

Having been deeply invested in both my students and the school community, making the choice to move on was not easy. However, as I prayed and sought guidance, I realized that embracing this change was the right step towards improving my work-life balance and personal fulfillment. One of the most profound moments in my journey was preparing to say goodbye to my current and past students. This has been the most challenging part emotionally because teaching is not just a job; it’s a vocation that shapes relationships and impacts lives. I will deeply miss the daily interactions, the growth I witness in my students, and the special moments shared together. Fortunately, my decision also brings hope and excitement. I will be continuing my teaching career from home, which allows me to be more present with my family while still doing what I love. This flexibility has been essential in navigating life's demands and has given me peace knowing I can maintain both my professional passion and personal responsibilities. To all educators contemplating a similar path, I encourage you to reflect on your values and priorities. It’s okay to seek changes that nurture your well-being without feeling guilty. Growth sometimes means letting go, and doing so can open doors to new opportunities that align better with your life goals. Above all, I am grateful for the support from my students, their families, and my colleagues. Their encouragement has been a pillar of strength. As I close this chapter, I look forward to sharing future experiences and remaining connected with the teaching community on this new journey.
