Here's what I ordered 😗:

🍤: Cheesy Shrimp Katsu

💰: $2.60

honestly this was pretty mid for me bec the cheese was so overpowering tat it completely covered the taste of the shrimp katsu 😔😔 loved the idea thoo

🦀: Crabstick Mayo Inari

💰: $2.20

pretty avg sushi but was quite yummy hehe def on the sweet side tho

🦞: Lobster Salad

💰: $2.20

another pretty common sushi heh had a slight spicy kick but overall pretty yummy too

🥚: Umami Ramen Egg

💰: $1.80

ngl was expecting this to taste like the usual egg mayo but the flavours were def bolder and richer 👀

🍣: Aburi Salmon Mentaiko

💰: $2

this too had a slight spicy kick so lowkey it tasted more like spicy mentaiko w more emphasis on the spicy than the mentaiko if tat makes sense HAHAH

🍮: Creme Brûlée Salmon

💰: $2

tried this out of curiosity but UHM ok idk idt it pairs well tgt...? it wasn't bad per se but it just felt a lil weird tasting salmon and caramelised sugar tgt KSBKSND wld gv this a miss

... Read moreIf you're curious about Super Sushi at Sun Plaza like I was, here are some extra insights from my experience to help you decide what to try next time. The place really stands out for offering halal-certified sushi options in Singapore, which is great if you’re looking for more inclusive dining choices. The variety is decent, ranging from classic options like crabstick mayo inari to more creative ones like creme brûlée salmon. While some fusion attempts may feel a bit hit or miss—like the unusual mix of caramelised sugar with salmon—the innovative spirit is worth appreciating. I noticed many of the sushi options are quite affordable, mostly hovering around $2 to $2.60 per piece, making it an easy spot for casual bites without breaking the bank. Portion sizes seem fair for the price, so you can try a few different types without feeling too heavy. The lobster salad sushi offered a nice mild spice that added some excitement without overwhelming the flavor, a nice middle ground if you like a bit of a kick in your sushi. Similarly, the aburi salmon mentaiko had a spicier edge that might appeal to those who enjoy bold flavors. One tip: the cheesy shrimp katsu was a bit overpowering for my taste because the cheese masked the shrimp’s flavor, so you might want to skip that unless you’re a big fan of cheese-heavy dishes. On the other hand, the corn mayo inari was pleasantly sweet with just the right amount of mayo, making it a safe and tasty choice. In short, Super Sushi feels like a promising halal sushi spot with affordable prices and fun flavors, ideal for trying something new without spending much. I’d recommend going with friends so you can share and taste several varieties to find your favorites. Looking forward to going back and exploring their full menu!
