im back for my fav fish and chips AHHH super duper big fish tatz crispy on the outside but so so tender on the inside <33 loved the variety of sides offered as well HAHAH personally i still feel their tartar sauce paired the nicest w the fish but between their brown sauce and curry sauce i wld say the curry sauce is more my style hee😗 def def recommend everyone to try😛😋🥰

first time trying sth other than fish and chips here HAHAHA ngl this was sooo good HAHAH they used the same pasta as tini's famous mac & cheese and HAHAH totally get the hype 🤩💯 the truffle smell was soo fragrant and it came w tons of mushrooms and caramelised onions underneath :') personally i didn't think the sweet onions paired well w the truffle and mushrooms but oh welps wld def try their other mac & cheese nxt time :P

unfortunately this was kinda disappointing hhh it wasn't seeved hot and the white bait was kinda hard to chew🥹 squid was pretty crispy but overall nth too special tbh...😬😬

The tartar sauce definitely complements the fish best, though I found the curry sauce to add a nice twist when I wanted something bolder. What’s nice about BatterCatch is their range of sides which offer something different every time. On one visit, I tried their Truffle Macaroni and Cheese, which surprised me pleasantly. The rich truffle aroma combined with plenty of mushrooms and caramelized onions added a luxe touch. While I personally think the sweetness of the onions was a bit strong for my taste, overall it was a comforting dish that I would order again. It’s great to see that they use good quality pasta similar to other renowned mac & cheese spots. One tip I’d share is to order the white bait and baby squid fritters fresh and hot, if possible. I found that when served lukewarm, the white bait can get tough to chew and lose its appeal. That said, the baby squid fritters are usually crispy and enjoyable—just not as standout as the other two items. For anyone who loves seafood, BatterCatch is definitely worth a visit for their generous portions, tempting truffle mac, and those delicious sauces. It feels like a cozy local gem where you can experiment with friends or family and find your own favorite pairing.
