My spare room was in desperate need of a reset 😩
From chaos to creativity✨💕 I got to add a couple more items. Can’t wait to style, create, and sew in this space 💖#roomcleaned #roomjustcleaned #roommakeover #roomtour #roomaesthetic
Hey everyone! You saw my quick glimpse of my spare room's transformation from total chaos to a beautiful, inspiring creative space. I know many of you are probably looking at your own spare rooms thinking, "What can I even do with this space?" That's exactly where I was, and I'm so excited to share some more unique spare room ideas and tips on how I achieved my 'MESSY → GLAM' makeover. My biggest tip for finding a unique purpose for your spare room is to think about what you genuinely need and love to do but don't have a dedicated spot for. For me, it was always wanting a proper creative hub – a place to sew, craft, and style without having to pack everything away every single time. Instead of just another guest room or a glorified storage unit, I envisioned my 'Styled by Netta HQ.' What's your passion? Maybe it's a reading nook, a dedicated home office, a meditation space, or even a mini home gym! Once you have a purpose, the next step is tackling the messy part. Be ruthless! I started by decluttering everything. If it hadn't been used in a year, or didn't fit the vision for my new creative space, it had to go. I sorted items into 'keep,' 'donate,' 'sell,' and 'trash.' This step alone made a huge difference and felt so liberating. Don't underestimate the power of a good purge. It's the foundation for any glam transformation. Then came the fun part: making it glam and functional. I focused on smart storage solutions to keep my crafting supplies organized but easily accessible. Think vertical storage like shelves or pegboards, and stylish bins or baskets that double as decor. For a truly unique touch, I added a comfy seating area that can also serve as a temporary guest bed when needed, proving a spare room can be multi-functional without sacrificing its primary purpose. Lighting is also key – I added a bright task lamp for my sewing machine and some softer ambient lighting to create a cozy vibe. Don't forget the personal touches! This is what makes your space truly unique. I hung up some art that inspires me, added a few plants to bring life into the room, and chose a color scheme that makes me feel calm and creative. Even small details, like a pretty mug for pens or a unique rug, can elevate the space from simply organized to 'glam.' Remember, your spare room is an extension of you, so let your personality shine through every design choice. It doesn't have to break the bank either; I found many of my decor items second-hand or on sale. With a little imagination and effort, you can turn any neglected spare room into a unique, inspiring retreat that perfectly suits your lifestyle. I’m so excited to finally have my very own creative sanctuary!
