My pregnancy journey so far..

I would like to share my pregnancy journey so far with you all.

I found out that I was pregnant in October of 2024. At that time in my life, I did not think that I could get pregnant. I have PCOS and we tried on and off over the past few years. I was beyond excited. The both of us were over the moon with joy. We were finally going to be parents! We were 16 hours away from home working at the time. I called and made an appointment back home. I drove back home, I had the ultrasound and it turns out I was 5 weeks and I was told that everything looked good from what they could see and to come back in a few weeks. I was sad that I was unable to see my perfect baby, but at the same time, I was just so happy to be expecting and that the sac was located in the uterus where it should be. Two days later, It was a Sunday afternoon because I had gone to church that morning. I began to have cramps. The cramps became increasingly worse until my husband suggested we go to the hospital. Once, we were at the hospital and I was explaining my symptoms, I began to bleed. I was given an ultrasound and began to bleed heavier. That night they tested my HCG levels at 2,057, said that I was five and a half weeks along and called it an attempted miscarriage, and sent me home for the night to follow up with my OBGYN the next day. I followed up as directed. Over the next few days, I watched my HCG levels drop below 300. It was heartbreaking. Our little family is gone. It was over and it was hard to try to accept that. We never got to see our sweet baby. The pain that we felt, no one deserves. I just could not understand why God would give such a blessing just to take it away. I realized that everything happens for a reason and God has a plan. I did not understand the pain at the time, but I knew he had a reason and he had a plan for all of us.

I continued to pray daily.

A couple of weeks later, I finally had my first full period. That broke my heart as well. I felt disgusting, I felt unworthy, I felt sad that I had never felt before. I guess to me, it made it real. That it was all over.

Over the next couple of weeks, my body felt normal again. We went home and we spent the holidays with my family. As we came into the new year, I realized that I had not had a period for the whole month of December. I started to feel light pressure in my uterus, but I never started my period. I thought maybe my body was still trying to get back to normal from everything that had happened. By January 6, I was suspicious and thought maybe I was just going crazy. I took a pregnancy test and it was a little faint line. The next day, I took another. A digital one. It read the word Pregnant. I was in shock. At the same time, I was beyond excited. Here I am pregnant, again. How great is our God. What a blessing.

On January 16, I had my blood work done. My HCG levels were at 1,624. I went back on January 18 and my HCG levels were at 3,481. They are doubling as they should and fast. We discussed having an ultrasound on Tuesday, the 21st. We assumed by my HCG levels at the time and going off of my last period, that I was at 8 weeks and one day. We went into the appointment expecting to see our baby.

Unfortunately, we were unable to see our baby at the time because it turns out that I was only at five weeks and four days. They did say that everything looked amazing though and that is something to be very thankful for! They are saying according to my HCG levels, we may expect to see multiple babies at our next ultrasound on February 4th. How exciting! To say the least, we are beyond happy, excited and are very blessed. #mypregnancyjourney #pregnancyandinfantloss #pregnancyjourney #pregnantlife #rainbowbaby

However, stories of hope, like mine, remind us that every journey is unique. Understand the signs of early pregnancy and consider using home pregnancy tests. HCG levels, tracked through blood tests, can provide insights into the health of the pregnancy. In cases of pregnancy loss, it's crucial to acknowledge the emotional pain and seek support from loved ones or support groups. Sharing experiences online can also foster community and healing for others going through similar struggles. Resources such as counseling may help navigate the complexities of grief associated with pregnancy loss. Remember, you are not alone in this journey and there are many caring communities ready to support you through both joyous and difficult times. Remember to cherish and celebrate each milestone, no matter how small, along your pregnancy journey!

I am currently 24 weeks. I found out that I was pregnant at 3 weeks. I started my appointments at 5 weeks. I did my first anatomy scan at 18 weeks and found out that I am having another baby boy. I also found out baby could possibly have a hole in his heart and that I had placenta previa.

I’ve seen a few comments about announcing my pregnancy “too early,” (although I’ve never publicly stated how far along I am OR shared the due date except with close friends and family…) so I just want to say this: I’ve suffered a miscarriage, and after that experienced a high-risk pregnancy. I’
