if you’re picking weeds/ flowers to use for any homemade salves, jellies, tinctures, etc, please be absolutely sure that they’re not coming from an area where any weed spray has been used!! this all came from my property & woods where i’m 100% sure no roundup or anything has ever been used!!

... Read moreDeadnettle, often overlooked, offers numerous benefits, making it a fantastic addition to any home remedy toolkit. This herb is not only one of the first food sources for bees in spring, but it's also recognized for its anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial properties. Many people don’t realize that Deadnettle leaves can effectively stop bleeding when applied to cuts and wounds. Additionally, it’s reported to help alleviate allergies and anxiety, providing a natural option for those seeking relief. Beyond those benefits, some users claim it may ease menstrual cramps and even assist in relieving urinary tract infections (UTIs). When using Deadnettle for homemade remedies, ensure that you're harvesting from areas free of weed sprays, as contamination can undermine the salve's safety and effectiveness. Absolutely, sourcing your Deadnettle responsibly is crucial for homemade preparations. If you’re interested in crafting your own Deadnettle salve, the process involves drying the collected leaves, infusing them in oils, and carefully combining with beeswax to create a soothing balm that can last for months when stored properly in a cool, dry place. Always label your containers for easy identification later! Crafting your own salve not only empowers you to use natural ingredients but also allows you the satisfaction of creating something beneficial from what may be considered a pesky weed.
