swaps i’ve made to be as toxic free as i can be 🍯
some of these are definitely harder than others, but the biggest thing for me was time!
at first i was stressing myself out so much on trying to get everything swapped at once but i eventually calmed down and it’s taken about a year to get here!
i’ve thrifted so many things and repurposed a lot of my old stuff so i didn’t contribute too much trash, but i’m so happy with where i am now!
let me know if yall are curious on any of my reasons / swaps below, and let me know what yalls biggest swap was!🪴🧺🍄🧸

Adopting a toxic-free lifestyle can seem daunting, but breaking it into manageable swaps makes it enjoyable. Start with everyday items like fluoride-free toothpaste and homemade lotions, which reduce chemical exposure while caring for your health. Experimenting with natural remedies can be a fun process; try creating candles with plant-infused scents or swapping plastic in your kitchen for glass or stainless steel. Join communities focused on #nontoxicliving and #homesteadliving to exchange tips and experiences. Cooking is another crucial area to focus on. Opting for cast iron and stainless-steel cookware not only avoids hidden chemicals but also promotes healthier meal preparation. Canning from scratch is a great way to control ingredients and reduce waste. Plus, shopping second-hand and repurposing old items not only helps the planet but also adds a unique touch to your lifestyle. Remember, every small swap counts towards a healthier, more sustainable living environment. What changes have you made?

One thing i learned is that too much pf something is bad for you! Too much fluoride is bad for your teeth. Too much brushing with fluoride can break down the healthy bacteria that IS protecting your teeth! If you still get lots of cavities even after brushing your teeth 2-3 times a day, try less fluoride product! -From two dental hygienist family members<3
