... Read moreParenting is a unique journey for every family, and it's essential to establish a philosophy that aligns with your values. In my experience, teaching children respect and kindness is paramount. This includes instilling good manners and encouraging them to treat all individuals, regardless of gender, with dignity. In today's world, balancing screen time is crucial. I limit my son's screen exposure to just 30 minutes of low-stimulation content each morning, promoting mindful consumption. I believe that it's vital to create boundaries around technology, allowing children to engage with their surroundings meaningfully. Co-sleeping can be a sensitive topic, but I find it essential to transition children to their own sleeping spaces while allowing for comfort during tough nights. This nurtures independence while providing support when needed. Political and personal beliefs are significant in raising children. I aim to create an environment where my son can form his opinions while knowing he will always be supported, regardless of societal pressures. It's also essential to teach children that actions have consequences. Allowing them to experience the results of their behavior helps them learn accountability. Creating a trusting relationship with your children will enable open discussions about their lives and decisions. This will ultimately foster a deeper connection and understanding, allowing them to navigate their journey successfully.

Everything except the dinner part. If my son doesn’t want it, I’ll make him something else, until he is old enough to make his own food. Food is expensive, but if I don’t want something I’m not gonna eat it. So why would I make my kids eat something they don’t want to eat?
