Another old OC Joe :)
Joe to go along with Sky
They are fun to colour with their split dye hair but I don't draw them often :'D
Creating art with original characters (OCs) like Joe can be a truly rewarding experience. What I love about drawing OCs with split dye hair is how it adds a dynamic contrast and personality to the piece, making each character stand out uniquely. Using acrylic pens offers vibrant colors and smooth application, perfect for expressive details like hair strands and highlights. While I don't draw Joe as often as some other characters like Sky, every session brings new creative inspiration and helps improve my coloring techniques. The bright split dye hair challenges me to blend colors effectively while keeping the visual impact strong. For fellow artists, I recommend experimenting with different acrylic pen brands to find one that suits your style, and practicing layering colors to achieve depth without losing vibrancy. Sketchbooks are fantastic for developing these characters over time, allowing you to track progress and refine designs. Incorporating OCs into your art also boosts storytelling skills as you imagine their personalities and backgrounds, making your artwork richer and more engaging. Overall, exploring these unique color combinations and mediums encourages a playful yet focused approach to illustration that I find both fun and fulfilling.
