Hey everyone! I'm so thrilled to share a deeper dive into my latest character project, Onyx, an OC I'm crafting with major Hazbin Hotel vibes! You know how much I love the show's incredible design and intricate world-building, so I just had to create a demon that would feel right at home in Hell. Onyx is a Geode Demon, a concept I've been playing with for a while. Imagine a demon whose very essence is tied to crystalline formations, much like a geode. Her skin isn't just dark; it's infused with shimmering, rocky textures that occasionally reveal vibrant, sparkling crystal clusters – think deep purples, blues, and blacks like actual onyx stones. This gives her a truly unique aesthetic that I think fits perfectly with the varied and fantastical denizens of Hazbin Hotel. I've been sketching out how these geode elements would appear on her horns, perhaps even forming sharp, beautiful claws. When I saw the amazing character designs in Hazbin Hotel, particularly the unique demon forms and their expressive personalities, I knew I wanted to create a character that could stand alongside them. My vision for Onyx is a creature who embodies both beauty and danger, much like a hidden geode. She's a Hellborn Demon, belonging to a specific lineage that has existed in Hell for centuries. The OCR mentioned "Peacock," which I've taken inspiration from to give her a flamboyant, almost regal bearing, perhaps with a flowing, feathery tail or adornments that fan out when she wants to make an impression. Her stature is quite striking at 5'4", giving her a presence that's not overly intimidating but certainly commanding. One of the most fascinating details I've established for her (thanks to some early brainstorming that got picked up by the OCR!) is her age: 267 years old. This means she's seen a lot of Hell's history unfold, giving her a potentially cynical yet wise perspective. What kind of stories could she tell? What kind of power would a demon of that age wield? I'm still exploring her abilities, but I imagine something tied to earth manipulation or crystal magic, given her geode nature. The "UAidian" part of the OCR has me thinking about a specific class or perhaps a role she plays within Hell's society – maybe a guardian of ancient relics, or a dealer in rare underworld commodities. This is definitely still a WIP, and I'm having so much fun bringing her to life. I'm currently refining her facial expressions, working on defining her outfit (something elegant but with a dangerous edge), and thinking about her personality. Is she chaotic like Angel Dust, cunning like Alastor, or perhaps more reserved and observant? I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas!
