Come on a solo date with me!

this is a repost from my tiktok back in Jan.

on this day I was supposed to go on an interview all the way across the other side of sg. so I got dress up well to look presentable! and once I reached to the bus stop.

(WhatsApp notification)

hi izz!!

so sorry can we reschedule? as the interviewer is sick today.

In my heart I was crying!!!! mind you.. I took a leave for this!!

and so at this point I am lost and dk where to go what to do?

and yk what else that made me lose my mind??

that my tiktok got hacked!! idk how or what happened but I was stressing over that for quite some time

so at this point I hv to go somewhere to clear my mind I texted my lil sister asked any interesting place? she recommended me to go to the museum so there i was!

And I hv to say I was fun! going on an afternoon date with myself. It was really peaceful, your head is all clear! it was like a recharge.

before I gotta go back to work the next day. 🙃

anyways enjoy the video if you haven't seen it yet!!

National Museum of Singapore
3/6 Edited to

... Read moreSometimes plans fall through unexpectedly, like when an interview gets postponed at the last minute. Izz’s story about heading to the National Museum of Singapore alone after such a letdown highlights a fantastic way to turn frustration into a fun and meaningful experience. Going solo can be incredibly freeing and rejuvenating. When I’ve had days full of uncertainty or stress, I found that visiting cultural spaces like museums helps clear my mind and inspires new perspectives. The National Museum of Singapore is not just about history—it offers interactive installations like the 'Odyssea' animation projections, which bring Singapore’s pre-colonial era to life in a futuristic setting. Walking through its spiral ramps and engaging with such exhibits can feel like traveling through time. Solo dates allow you to focus entirely on your interests without distraction. You can spend as long as you want exploring each exhibit, soaking in the atmosphere, or simply enjoying the quiet moments. For instance, after exploring the museum, grabbing a relaxed lunch nearby or simply sitting down to reflect can be a perfect close to your solo outing. Moreover, having a solo date can help when dealing with personal difficulties such as social media troubles or work stress, similar to Izz’s experience of a hacked TikTok account. It gives you a chance to reset mentally and emotionally. Taking yourself out on a solo date is also a brilliant way to boost confidence and self-appreciation. It’s a reminder that your own company can be rewarding and that you don’t have to rely on others to have a fulfilling day. Next time unexpected changes affect your plans, consider a self-date at a local museum or cultural spot. It might just surprise you how refreshing and inspiring it can be—the perfect mix of education, relaxation, and personal growth.

An introvert’s wknd ✨🌞 & solo date spots
One thing I started to feel a lot more as I got closer to my 30s, is that time tends to slip. Before you know it, you’re in your third decade. & when I finally hit 30 a few years ago, the concept of savouring, cherishing, setting boundaries all became so clear to me. I spend time how I
