Chicken Caesar Sandwich

Here is another easy dinner featuring some of the Trader Joe’s and aldis groceries we picked up the other day!!

I used one chicken breast that was sliced in half for an easier cooking.

I use a salad kit from Trader Joe’s as it comes with the dressing and croutons and parm.

You can use the croutons as your bread crumbs or also add to your bread crumbs instead of regular bread crumbs!

Super quick and easy to make and taste so good.

You can always substitute the bread out for a wrap instead for a healthier option.

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen how effortlessly delicious this Chicken Caesar Sandwich can be, especially with those Trader Joe's staples! I've been making versions of this for ages, and I've picked up a few extra tricks and variations that really take it to the next level, perfect for when you want to impress or just switch things up a bit. First off, let's talk about the star: the chicken! While pan-frying is super quick, if you're looking for that grilled chicken caesar sandwich vibe, it's totally achievable. Instead of breading, try marinating your chicken breast (or even chicken thighs for extra juiciness, which I sometimes do!) in a mix of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, and a pinch of dried oregano for at least 30 minutes. Then, grill it until it's beautifully charred and cooked through. This adds a fantastic smoky depth that's different from the crispy pan-fried version. Now, if you're sticking to the crispy chicken, which is equally amazing, I've found that proper breading makes all the difference for that perfect crunch. After flattening your chicken breasts into cutlets, dip them first into a whisked egg seasoned with a dash of poultry seasoning and Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend (seriously, a game changer!). Then, coat them generously in a mix of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. This combo creates an incredibly flavorful and crispy crust when pan-fried, just like you see in some of the steps! Moving on to the Trader Joe's Caesar Style Salad Kit – it's a lifesaver, right? But you can totally customize it! Sometimes I'll add extra fresh romaine, some thinly sliced red onion, or even a few halved cherry tomatoes to brighten it up. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice into the dressing can also make it taste even fresher. And for the bread, the Trader Joe's Ciabatta Demi-Baguette is a fantastic choice for a sturdy and satisfying sandwich base. Lightly toasting it first gives it a wonderful texture and prevents it from getting soggy. For those moments when you're thinking "what else can I add to my sandwich pinterest board?", consider these fun variations. A few strips of crispy bacon take this sandwich from great to absolutely divine. Sometimes I'll also add some thinly sliced avocado for creaminess or a layer of roasted red peppers for a pop of color and sweetness. If you're feeling adventurous, a sprinkle of chili flakes can give it a little kick! And remember how easy it is to swap the bread for a wrap for a lighter option – a whole wheat tortilla works beautifully here. Whether you're making the classic crispy version or going for grilled chicken caesar sandwich perfection, this recipe is incredibly versatile. It's a testament to how awesome those Trader Joe's caesar salad with chicken ingredients can be for an easy, delicious meal that feels a bit special. Don't be afraid to experiment and make it your own!
