It’s offically been over 6 months since we moved from Minnesota down to South Carolina, there is sooo much that’s different living down here (both good and bad), but overall we have been living all the new adventures we’ve gotten to have!

Moving from Minnesota to South Carolina has truly been a transformative experience. One of the most exciting parts of living here has been the variety of outdoor activities accessible almost every weekend. For example, visiting Congaree National Park, the state's only national park, is an absolute must. Its ancient forests and diverse wildlife create a peaceful retreat and a great way to connect with nature. We've also taken advantage of South Carolina's beautiful coastline, with two trips to the ocean so far and plans for more. The coastal areas offer a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, whether it's beachcombing, fishing, or simply enjoying the salt air. Hiking has quickly become a favorite pastime, with trails like Sassafras Mountain and Fryingpan Mountain Lookout Tower offering stunning views and a wonderful way to explore the natural beauty of the South. Along these hikes, spotting deer and various bird species has added to the joyful experience of living closer to nature. Food here is another highlight, especially the abundant options for fried chicken and Southern cuisine. Sampling local restaurants has been a delicious exploration of Southern flavors and hospitality. Additionally, attending a NASCAR race was a novel cultural experience, giving insight into a beloved local pastime. Overall, living in South Carolina opens up a lifestyle rich with outdoor activities, new cultural experiences, and warm Southern charm that continuously enhances our day-to-day life.
