Triggered! This healing journey is NOT for the weak
Hey cousins! Let’s talk.
( I’m currently in the bathroom crying because I’m triggered and so many unhealed coping mechanisms want to pop up so help!)
For those of us healing past traumas and learning how to parent ourselves, how do you handle triggers that bring out big emotions—whether it’s from your significant other or someone else?
I grew up a people pleaser, always putting others’ feelings above my own, even at the cost of standing up for myself. Now, in my first healthy relationship (which, whew, is a journey!), I’m realizing how hard it is to manage these triggers.
For me, I’m a crier—tears will fall—but don’t mistake that for weakness. I’m a retired “crash out” queen, okay? But when I’m triggered, the little girl in me is scared, the teenager is angry, and the young adult wants to shut down. All valid feelings…but not the healthiest responses.
So, how do you navigate these moments and show up for yourself while healing? Help a cousin out!

Healing from past traumas is a brave and often challenging journey that requires self-compassion and support. Understanding triggers—those emotional responses caused by specific situations or interactions—is essential for personal growth. It’s important to create a safe space for yourself to explore these feelings, acknowledging that they are valid yet not always constructive. One effective strategy is to practice mindfulness, allowing you to observe your emotions without immediate reaction. Engaging in grounding exercises, like deep breathing or physical activity, can also help re-center yourself when overwhelming feelings arise. Additionally, reaching out to supportive friends or therapists can provide valuable insights and reassurance. Remember, you are not alone on this path; many others navigate similar experiences. Embracing vulnerability by sharing your experiences can foster connection and facilitate healing. Establishing healthy boundaries and understanding your worth is vital to overcoming people-pleasing behaviors that often accompany trauma. Through this process, gradually allowing yourself to feel and express your emotions—like sadness, anger, and even joy—will empower you to reclaim your narrative and thrive in healthy relationships. Healing is not linear, and each setback can offer lessons that promote resilience. Building awareness around your triggers and responses can ultimately lead to profound transformation and emotional well-being.

Release daily…. Now that you’re planning a weeding you may have a few triggered moments as well, you recognize them, very well stay in the highest vibe and avoid the ones that waste your time and energy 💟🔮💟
