This is a joke- but project 2025 is not.
Hello all, if you take the time to read any of my longer posts please let it be this one! I think for once, all (reasonable) americans can agree that this debate was genuinely unserious to watch. I know political memes and political cartoons have always been around but.. whew this event sure fueled their production for years to come. Not only were no questions answered, but it was embarrassing and unserious.
On one hand, I feel obligated to mention that this debate was likely a way to distract us from congress ushering a bill that would basically allow them to more effectively hide the palestine d3ath count. The timing is just very interesting.
Back to the debate though, I think most americans agree we don’t want EITHER of these geriatric men in office, nor any other 70-80yr old. How about an age cap? That would be a start. Even if it’s a long shot.
If you watched this debate and still strongly support one candidate or the other, you need to take a step back and look at these old men objectively. Neither truly cares for america nor the american people. However, there is one very important factor I haven’t even seen mentioned on this app.
If trump is elected, he will implement something called project 2025 that is honestly already in motion. The supreme court already overturned Chevron (historical VERY important federal court case) which gave the governmental agencies power and authority, and basically gave the federal courts that power. Chevron was the backbone of our environmental protections, as it’s what gave the EPA power. This will basically upend every regulatory framework we have in government, good and bad, and all americans will feel the effects of this eventually one way or another.
This is not mean to be “fear mongering” and this is not an exaggeration. I only used one example of something that has already come to pass as an introduction, but I did not explain project 2025. I really want you, whoever you may be or whatever it is you believe in, to please look into it yourself. Draw your own conclusions, check your own sources. Whatever you do, please educate yourself on the severity of this plan and what it entails, and how it could change this country and affect us all. I think we all wish we had better candidates, and that our government and leaders truly cared for the people and this country. This may not be the case, but by voting this year you can make a difference, because this election will have far reaching consequences much more than normal.
