🌿 Is This Still Mine to Carry? | Thursday Therapy 💚

🌿✨ THURSDAY THERAPY ✨🌿

🤍💃🏾 Hey Momentum Babes! 💃🏾🤍

Today, I want you to ask yourself one powerful question:

💭 “Is this still mine to carry?”

Sometimes we hold onto stress, fear, disappointment, responsibilities, and expectations for so long that carrying them begins to feel normal. But just because you’ve been strong enough to carry something doesn’t mean you’re required to carry it forever. 💚

Today, give yourself permission to U.N.P.A.C.K. 🌿

💚 U – Understand what you’re feeling

💙 N – Notice where you hold stress

💚 P – Pause the pressure

💙 A – Allow movement to help you release

💚 C – Choose what deserves your energy

💙 K – Keep what heals you close

Healing can look like prayer. 🙏🏾

Healing can look like therapy. 🌿

Healing can look like rest. 🧘🏾‍♀️

Healing can look like setting boundaries. 💚

Healing can look like stretching, walking, dancing, breathing, and allowing your body to release what words cannot always explain. 💃🏾✨

And here’s another reminder for somebody who needs it today:

❤️ I choose my peace. I protect my energy. ❤️

You do not have to solve everything today.

You do not have to carry everyone.

You do not have to feel guilty for needing rest.

🌿 Unpack the pressure.

🍃 Release what you can.

💃🏾 Move with intention.

🛡️ Protect your peace.

Because wellness is not just about what your body can do—it’s also about caring for your mind, body, and spirit. 💚✨

... Read moreCarrying emotional and mental burdens over time can become so habitual that we hardly notice the weight they impose on our well-being. From personal experience, learning to regularly check in with myself using the U.N.P.A.C.K. method has been transformative in managing daily stress and maintaining mental clarity. Understanding what you’re feeling is the first essential step. Often, emotions like fear, disappointment, or anxiety accumulate beneath the surface, disguised as physical tension or irritability. Taking time to acknowledge these feelings without judgment creates space for healing. Noticing where stress manifests in the body was a surprising discovery for me. For example, tightness in my shoulders or a clenched jaw signaled unresolved worries. Incorporating gentle stretching, walking, or even dancing helped release this tension effectively. Pausing the pressure by intentionally slowing down and reframing urgent problems versus important ones has allowed me to prioritize what truly deserves my energy. This pause avoids burnout and keeps my peace intact. Allowing movement to aid the release goes beyond exercise. It can be breathing exercises, mindful walking, or expressive dance—activities that reconnect you to your body and promote emotional release. Choosing what deserves your energy means setting healthy boundaries and often saying no to commitments or expectations that drain you. This conscious selection empowers you to safeguard your peace. Finally, keeping what heals you close—whether prayer, journaling, therapy, rest, or community support—creates a sustainable foundation for wellness. Over time, these healing practices become a source of strength rather than another task to complete. Incorporating this approach reminds me that healing doesn’t require fixing everything all at once. It’s about compassionately unpacking the pressure and choosing to carry only what nurtures my mind, body, and spirit. This balance is essential not just for survival, but for thriving in everyday life.
