As a newfound romantasy book lover, here are all the fantasy books on my TBR list!
I started with ACOTAR (obviously) and absolutely freaking LOVED it. I swear, it’s my entire life right now. I’m currently reading Throne of Glass and then will move onto Crescent City.
But, what do I read after that?? If you’ve read any of the books on my list, give tell me WHY I should read it next!!

When I'm picking my next read, especially from my ever-growing list that includes Fourth Wing and *Zodiac Academy*, I'm always looking for stories where the characters feel real, where their motivations are clear, and where their personal arcs are as compelling as the overarching plot. It makes the romance so much more impactful when it develops alongside such strong individual journeys. I've also recently discovered the charm of cozy romantasy. For those days when you want a lighter, less high-stakes adventure but still crave that magical spark and heartwarming romance, cozy romantasy is perfect. Think less epic wars and more charming towns, quirky characters, and sweet, low-angst relationships. While my current TBR leans towards the more epic side, I'm definitely keeping an eye out for some cozy picks to balance things out. Do you have any favorite cozy romantasy reads that still have fantastic character development? I'd love to add them to my wishlist! And speaking of finding new books, I've been exploring different services for romantasy ebooks. Kindle Unlimited has been a lifesaver for discovering new authors, and I've heard great things about Scribd for its diverse selection. For those of us who love to listen, Audible has amazing narrators that bring these worlds to life. It's fantastic how accessible these stories are, letting us dive into fantastical realms anytime, anywhere. Another thing that's really helped me embrace this genre is connecting with digital reading clubs and curators. There are so many amazing BookTokers and Bookstagrammers who curate incredible romantasy lists and host read-alongs. They're like digital librarians guiding you through the vast landscape of books, often highlighting hidden gems or discussing popular series like Crescent City in depth. Joining these communities has not only introduced me to new titles but also enriched my reading experience by allowing me to share my thoughts and theories with others who are just as passionate. It's like having a book club right at your fingertips! I did Fourth Wing after ACOTAR before ToG because I knew how much of a commitment it was going to be. Artefacts of Ouranous has themes similar to Throne of Glass and it’s only 4 books. (Trial of the Sun Queen) You MUST read Legends of Thezmarr. The first book is Blood and Steel. If you’re going to read Quicksilver, do it before November when the sequel comes out. If you don’t require spice, The Shepherd King Duology is fantastic, as is Heartless Hunter/Rebel Witch.
