One day trip from Sendai - Kiss Sakura over 1,200 trees
🗺️ Shiroishi River / Funaoka Castle Ruins
Tourist spot coordinates this summer in Japan with Shiroishi and Shibata in Miyagi Prefecture, a small town that is very easy to go from Sendai. Drive to there is a parking place. The train arrives, but the train may be small and takes a little time.
There are more than 1,200 trees along the Shiroishi River, which is the real thing. We can't walk all the way. Fortunately, we went to Full Bloom, but the sky is overcast, the rain is not very pleasant. If the clear lights are visible on Mount Sao, I admit that since watching Sakura, this is The Best.
We can park the car along the waterfront and walk along the waterfront to the point of Funaoka Castle, a little far away, but beautiful. On the way there is a tent selling food. There are a lot of people. In the afternoon, there is a feed to eat and watch the flowers.
If anyone comes to the train, it's closer to the castle, you can walk all the way back along the waterfront.
At the castle point, there was a cable car that could sit up to the top of the mountain, but we didn't get up because the rain was heavy and the cold sky was overflowing.
But it's called a chill walk all day.
