✨Morning routine & evening routine (mom edition)✨
One thing I learned as a toddler mom is that if I don’t have a tight schedule I will get nothing done and my days will be very chaotic 😂
This is a schedule I try to stick too so I get everything done. I hope it helps someone else too 💕

Life as a working mom with a toddler can feel like a constant juggle, right? I totally get it. I used to feel like my days were a whirlwind of chaos, and getting anything done beyond basic survival was a huge win. That's when I realized I needed a stricter schedule – not to make life more rigid, but to create a sense of calm and predictability for myself and my little one. My morning routine, usually starting around 5 AM, is my sacred time. It’s when I finally get to be just ‘me’ before the demands of the day begin. I ease into the day by waking up before anyone else in the house. This quiet time is crucial for my mental prep. My personal care routine is quick, then it's straight to making my coffee. There’s something so comforting about that first warm sip while the house is still dark and quiet. I use this time for a bit of journaling, setting my intentions for the day. It’s not always easy to pull myself out of bed, but I've found this dedicated time helps me feel more grounded and less rushed once the morning rush begins. By 7 AM, it’s time to switch gears to 'mom mode.' I focus on getting Jack ready for daycare. To make this smoother, I try to lay out his clothes the night before. Breakfast is usually something quick and easy, and we try to make teeth brushing a fun little game. The daycare drop-off is always a bit of a scramble, but once it's done, I can finally settle into starting work. Knowing everything is taken care of helps me focus better. The evening routine is where things can get tricky after a long day of working. Around 4:35 PM, it's typically time for daycare pickup. The goal is to transition smoothly from work to home life. My priority is making and eating dinner as a family. I often rely on meal prepping on weekends to make weeknight meals easier and faster. After dinner, it's a quick cleaning session – a 15-minute tidy-up can make a huge difference in how the house feels for the next morning. Then it's Jackson's bath and bedtime routine. Consistency here is key for us; it signals to him that it’s time to wind down. Once Jackson is asleep, usually by 8:30 or 9 PM, I finally get some personal time. This is when I do my evening skincare routine, which feels like a small act of self-care. I might do some last-minute house tidying, prepare for the next morning, or just unwind with a book or a show. It's a chance to recharge before the 6 AM to 5:30 PM cycle starts all over again the next day. While this is my Monday-Friday rhythm, even on Friday night, I try to stick to the evening wind-down aspects, perhaps just pushing my personal time a little later! Of course, no routine is perfect, especially with a toddler! There are days when things go completely off track, and that's okay. The key is flexibility and remembering that this schedule is a guide to help me manage the chaos, not to create more stress. I hope sharing my structured morning and evening routine can inspire other working moms to find a rhythm that works for them too.
