The simple 4-step recipe I shared earlier is just the beginning, and I've got some extra tips and insights that have really helped me on my hair care journey! First off, let's talk about sourcing your rosemary. While fresh rosemary is always fantastic if you have it available, don't worry if you only have dried! You can absolutely use dried rosemary for this recipe. Just make sure it's good quality. For every cup of water, I usually use about 1-2 tablespoons of dried rosemary. The key is to let it simmer gently as outlined in the steps to really extract those beneficial compounds. And yes, adding mint is a lovely touch – it gives an extra refreshing boost to your scalp! Once you've made your rosemary water, proper storage is crucial to keep it fresh and potent. Always keep your rosemary spray in the refrigerator. I find that it usually lasts for about 1 to 2 weeks this way. If you notice any changes in smell or appearance, it's best to make a fresh batch. I like to make smaller batches more frequently to ensure I’m always using the freshest tonic. Now, for the most important part: how to apply this magical elixir for the best results! I typically use my rosemary spray 3-4 times a week, but some people use it daily. It's a leave-in treatment for me, so there's no need to rinse it out. I focus on spraying it directly onto my scalp, parting my hair in sections to ensure even coverage. After spraying, I gently massage my scalp for a few minutes. This not only helps with absorption but also stimulates blood circulation, which is fantastic for hair follicles. You can apply it to damp or dry hair – I personally prefer applying it after washing my hair, when my scalp is clean and receptive. Many of you ask about 'rosemary water before and after' results. From my personal experience, consistency is key! Don't expect overnight miracles, but with regular use, I started noticing less hair fall and new baby hairs sprouting after about 1-2 months. Everyone, make sure it’s not sink water & make sure when you wash it you also wash it without the sink water. Make sure it’s not that much of a dark brown color either because that means you burnt the rosemary. It lasts about 1 week in ur fridge, if you feel like you won’t use it all within that week I suggest put the rest in a cube container & when you want to use it just warm it up in a pan & ur able to use it. 🤗
