Hectic post travel FDOE✈️
It’s always a bit challenging getting back to your normal routine after travel. It takes me a full week to really reset so today we just ate whatever we had at home since we had not been to the grocery store!!
I never restrict after travel but I do try to just be mindful and eat what makes me feel my best😊
For breakfast I whipped up some pancakes because it was my boyfriend’s birthday and we always have pancake mix on hand!!
We also opted for cava for dinner because it was a busy day and going to H-E-B sounded like a chore we weren’t in the mood for but we LOVE cava and I always load my bowl up with all the veggies!! *get the fried pita it’s 11/10
For a sweet healthy snack I like to make rice cakes with protein frosting: just mix cookie butter with powdered almond butter and some honey.
After returning from your adventures, implementing a post-travel routine can be a game changer for your well-being. Transitioning back to normal life often takes time, and it’s essential to listen to your body. Many travelers experience the urge to indulge, but incorporating mindful eating practices can help maintain a balanced approach. Start your day with wholesome breakfasts, like almond flour pancakes, that offer a satisfying treat without compromising your health goals. For lunch and dinner, consider meal prepping easy-to-prepare dishes such as CAVA bowls loaded with fresh veggies and proteins. Pair your meals with light snacks like rice cakes topped with a mixture of cookie butter, almond butter, honey, and a sprinkle of cinnamon for a deliciously nutritious boost. Such snacks keep energy levels steady while providing essential nutrients your body craves after travel. Stay inspired by sharing your post-travel meals and discovering communities online using hashtags like #posttravelreset and #fdoe. Engaging with fellow travelers and foodies helps exchange ideas and motivate each other on maintaining a healthy lifestyle when back at home.
