My Top 10 Perfumes from July!
10. L’Occitane Amande Creme Brulee Hair & Body Mist: it’s not an edp but it performs like one! This scent is gourmand and intoxicating. I got this in France and it’s been my go-to for appointments. 🤭
9. Emporio Armani Power of You: this fragrance isn’t new but it’s definitely my scent of the summer. I have two bottles that are both over half way gone so that speaks for itself! The combo of passionfruit and vanilla is mouthwatering and it alwaysss gets me compliments!
8. Kayali Freedom Musk Matcha: I had to upgrade my mini bottle to a full size! This is a creamy yet light matcha scent that has been such an easy grab and go for me this summer!
7. Fascent Corn ⭐️: this is such a unique gourmand with notes like popcorn, marshmallow musk, pear, and coconut water. This was a blind buy success and I need Fascent to start making bigger bottles! 😅 (JADEALYCEBOD10OFF at Lucky Scent)
6. Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Rice: this is such a great comfort scent and an approachable take on a rice perfume. It has just the right amount of starch from the rice but is isn’t overpowering and perfectly balanced with sweet creamy notes like coconut milk and tonka!
5. Mancera Coco Vanille: Coco Vanille is one of the first perfumes I sampled from Mancera YEARS ago but I never got a full bottle. It’s the perfect beachy vanilla with some florals and a subtle hint of peach. I got this bottle in France and I have such great memories with it! 🥹
4. L'Atelier Parfum Matcha Creme: This has to be up there as one of my all time favorite matcha perfumes. It smells like a pistachio matcha latte, it is so delicious. If you’re a matcha lover or hater, I feel like this a good one to try!
3. House of Brandt Guava Sorbet Elixir: This one is definitely way stronger, sweeter, and creamier than the original! Every time I’ve worn this, I’ve gotten compliments. It’s so tropical and perfect for the summer, it really lasts allll day! (JADEALYCEBOD10OFF at Lucky Scent)
2. Mancera Mochi Musk: The dent in this one speaks for itself! This is a rice powder, pistachio ice cream, brown sugar, and musk perfume so it’s creamy, sweet, and fluffy! It’s so good, so unique, and so long lasting! The very first time I put this on, I got complimented and I’ve been obsessed! (JADEALYCEBOD10OFF at Lucky Scent)
1. Influxious Magic Hour: This had to be the most anticipated launch of the year and Funmi Monet did NOT disappoint! Exploring unique and niche perfumes can truly elevate your fragrance game, especially in summer when lighter, vibrant notes shine best. From my personal experience, a great summer scent balances freshness with intriguing complexity, often combining fruity, floral, and gourmand elements. For example, green tea and matcha notes have become surprisingly popular in the fragrance world. They impart a serene yet invigorating aroma that works well for day wear. Scents like Kayali Freedom Musk Matcha and L’Atelier Parfum Matcha Creme highlight how creamy, delicate matcha blends with hints of pistachio or milk to create a comforting yet unique aura. Gourmand perfumes, which remind us of delicious edible treats, are not limited to the colder months. The Fascent Corn perfume, with its popcorn and marshmallow musk combined with fruit notes, offers a nostalgic yet fresh take on gourmand scents. Similarly, vanilla-based perfumes like Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Rice and Mancera Coco Vanille provide a soft, beachy sweetness ideal for warm weather and evoke specific memories of travels or cozy moments. When choosing perfumes, the longevity and projection are key for summer. Fragrances such as Mancera Mochi Musk and House of Brandt Guava Sorbet Elixir are praised for their lasting power and ability to draw compliments throughout the day. Those sweet and creamy accords blended with tropical notes keep the scent vibrant and uplifting. The standout for me this July was Influxious Magic Hour, an innovative watermelon perfume elevated with dragon fruit, chili pepper, and coconut milk. It’s a perfect example of a summer staple being transformed into a luxurious experience, reminiscent of a sunset beach vacation. If you decide to explore these perfumes, consider your lifestyle and preferences: whether you want something light and subtle or bold and sweet. Also, sampling niche or indie brands can uncover hidden gems that may not be mainstream but offer exceptional quality and uniqueness. Don’t hesitate to upgrade from samples to full bottles once you find your signature summer scent! Above all, wearing a fragrance you love enhances confidence and mood, making every summer day more memorable.
