Hi everyone! This is my first official post on Lemon8!

- If you have been wanting to get in Formula one but don’t know where to start… I got you!

- I know it can be intimidating trying to learn anything about motorsports but I’ve started with the very basics in easy terms!

Formula One is a thrilling motorsport that captivates millions worldwide. For new fans, it's essential to understand the fundamental aspects of the sport. Formula 1 consists of 10 teams, each with two drivers, contributing to the competition's excitement. Key figures include Max Verstappen of Oracle Red Bull Racing, Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes, and Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. Races take place across the globe, with major events scheduled from Australia to Abu Dhabi. Each weekend typically features practice sessions on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, and the race on Sunday. Understanding the race weekend format will enhance your viewing experience. An important part of Formula One is the points system. Drivers score points based on their finishing position, with the winner receiving 25 points, second place earning 18, and so on, all the way down to 10th place, which secures 1 point. This system incentivizes competitiveness and strategy throughout the races. As a new fan, joining communities like #f1 and #formulaone can provide valuable insights and discussions.
