The items I ACTUALLY used
1. Perineal Bottle . This is a game changer the hospital will give you a squeeze bottle but it's no where near efficient as this. Purpose of the bottle is to cleanse the vagina.
2. Labor Gown. Yes, the hospital gives you one but having your own just feels so comfortable. Do what ever you can to ensure you feel comfy. It's best to have one that has an open back like a usual hospital gown would
3. Clothes for after the birth. Idk about anyone else but after I gave birth and recuperated, all I wanted to do was shower and put on some nice clean clothes.
4. Shower slippers: I personally don't want to shower in a hospital with no shoes on
5. Heating pad . This helped me when I was experiencing contractions and with cramping after the birth.
6. Blanket . Your girl be cold 😂

Preparing for the hospital can be daunting, but having the right items in your hospital bag can make a significant difference in your comfort and recovery. Here are some additional essentials and tips based on common experiences shared by new moms. 1. Snacks: During labor or while recuperating, having some tasty and nutritious snacks can keep your energy levels up. Opt for items like granola bars, dried fruit, or your favorite treats. 2. Phone Charger: Keeping your phone charged is vital for capturing precious moments and staying in touch with loved ones. Bring a long charging cable to ensure accessibility in hospital settings. 3. Toiletries: Pack your favorite toiletries, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, and skincare products to help you feel fresh and rejuvenated during your stay. 4. Nursing Pillow: If you plan to breastfeed, a nursing pillow can provide support and comfort for both you and your baby. It's a great addition for after the birth when you're learning to nurse. 5. Comfort Items: Consider bringing a personal item that brings you joy or comfort, such as a cozy blanket, essential oils, or a favorite book. These can provide emotional support during a potentially stressful time. 6. Postpartum Care Supplies: You might want to have additional supplies like disposable underwear or postpartum pads, which can offer extra comfort when you need it most. Every woman’s experience is different, but being prepared with these essential items can help you feel more comfortable and supported during your hospital journey.
