Juneteenth & thoughts on Lemon8 🍋

I went out yesterday with new friends to Kayak & rest for #juneteenth. It was much needed but besides that I have some thoughts (more like concern) about this app.

The amount of bots and #fakeprofiles on here have been insane and it’s turned me off from wanting to post here. I’m reluctant to follow anyone back because I have no idea who’s real?

Also, with lemon 8 being a “tiktok app” will this app be apart of the #tiktokban that the U.S. is trying to enforce this September?

This has proved to be an app with much potential and a space for people to vent & be themselves but what direction exactly is this app going?

With discussions around the potential TikTok ban in the U.S., Lemon8 may need to adapt to maintain relevance in the ever-changing landscape of social media. This raises questions about user safety and content authenticity—key aspects that users value. Understanding the app's policies and staying involved in community discussions will help users navigate these uncertainties. As Lemon8 develops, it’s vital for the community to voice their thoughts and concerns, ensuring that it evolves in a positive direction that aligns with user expectations and promotes a vibrant, genuine setting for creators and consumers alike.
