Things Women Call "Being Strong"…
Have you ever called these things "being strong"?
✨ Handling everything alone
✨ Never asking for help
✨ Pushing through exhaustion
✨ Putting yourself last
Maybe you've been surviving for so long that it feels normal.
But needing rest doesn't make you weak.
And you don't have to wait until you're completely burned out to deserve support. 🤍
Save this for later if you needed the reminder.

From my own journey, I’ve realized that what many women call "being strong" often hides deeper struggles that go unaddressed. For years, I prided myself on handling everything alone, rarely asking for help, and pushing myself beyond exhaustion. I thought endurance meant strength, but eventually, I hit a breaking point. It’s important to understand that true strength includes recognizing when you need rest and support. Chronic self-sacrifice and prioritizing everyone else above yourself not only drain your mental and physical reserves but also increase stress and risk of burnout. For example, ignoring nervous system health can lead to overwhelm and anxiety, making everyday tasks feel impossible. When you start listening to your body and mind, you realize that rest isn’t a reward or a sign of weakness—it’s an essential reset. Incorporating daily calm habits, like mindfulness and gentle movement, rejuvenates both your energy and mood. Asking for help doesn’t diminish your independence; it fosters connection and shared strength. If you’ve been surviving on empty, take this as a reminder: it’s okay to pause, say no, and care for yourself with the same dedication you give others. Supporting women’s wellness means honoring these boundaries for long-term mental wellness and resilience. Remember, pushing through constantly without support only postpones recovery but doesn’t prevent it.
