It’s Okay To Miss Them .. 🤍

You can miss someone and still know they are not good for you.

Missing them does not always mean they belong in your life.

Sometimes it means you are grieving the attachment, the routine, the comfort, and the version of them you hoped they would become.

And that kind of grief can make letting go feel harder than it really is.

But missing someone is not always a sign to go back.

Sometimes it is just part of the healing.

You are allowed to miss them…

and still choose yourself.

Save this if you’re in the middle of letting go.

Share it with someone who needs this reminder.

... Read moreMissing someone who wasn’t good for you is a complex emotional experience that many people struggle to understand. In my own healing journey, I realized that missing someone often reflects the grief not just for the person, but for the attachment— the routines, comfort, and dreams we invested in that relationship. This type of grief can feel overwhelming and can sometimes mislead us into thinking going back is the solution, but usually, it isn’t. From personal experience, I learned that allowing myself to miss someone was a crucial part of moving forward rather than a step backward. Accepting the feelings without guilt helped me build emotional clarity and develop healthier boundaries. It’s important to recognize that missing someone is normal and doesn’t negate your self-worth or the reasons why you needed to let go. I found that journaling about the emotions and reflecting on the differences between who the person was and who I hoped they could become helped me process the grief more constructively. Additionally, engaging in self-care practices and surrounding myself with supportive community helped strengthen my healing journey. For anyone in the middle of detachment, remember: missing someone is part of your healing, not a signal to return. Choosing yourself—your growth, peace, and self-worth—is an act of courage and love. Share this reminder with friends who might need it and consider following healing-centered content for ongoing support.
