Imposter Syndrome + Fear of Failure vs. ME 😰

I’m at home due to food poisoning. I haven’t posted in a week and honestly I’m uninspired. I miss you guys (all 486 & counting), but I’m uninspired. My imposter syndrome has kicked in with the internal battle of ignoring all algorithmic rules for the sake of creativity and freedom. So I figured, I’ll go back to basics. Post the raw side of life that brought you all to my little corner of the internet.

📖: The school year will be over in 8 days and I am yet again faced with yet another career change. My 9th one to be exact. (Maybe i’ll make a post about them later, comment if your curious) I’m sure you can hear it in my words but I am exhausted with the CHANGE even though that it is proof that I am living & growing. I’ve failed A LOT. I’ve learned but I didn’t lose.

I’m weary and would like to rest in security of knowing where my career stands and everything around it including my finances be stablized. Valid feelings given what I’ve been through. Though, I find it soo interesting that the timeline of last year is very close to the timeline of this year. I have been reminding myself that this year is not like last year so many factors are different!

I feel like I’ve been given a second chance at life. I get to reinvent myself through various leasership positions. Pathways and options I hadforgotten about or was denied are presenting themselves again. A part if me recognizes that I am much more equipped than I would have been prior. I have a lot of options and much more community than ever before. My fear, discomfort is valid but I must walk with it toward this new chapter in my life. Hopefully taping into my creative expression in the process. 🤎

... Read moreImposter syndrome and fear of failure are common struggles many face, especially during significant life changes. They can lead to feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt, preventing individuals from pursuing their goals. However, acknowledging these feelings as part of the growth process can be empowering. Here are some strategies to manage imposter syndrome: 1. **Recognize Your Achievements**: Make a list of your past successes, no matter how small. Celebrate these accomplishments to remind yourself of your capabilities. 2. **Connect with Others**: Share your experiences with friends or join supportive communities. Discussing your feelings can provide perspective and reduce feelings of isolation. 3. **Redefine Failure**: Shift your mindset by viewing failure as an opportunity to learn and grow. Every misstep is a step toward future success. 4. **Seek Professional Help**: If feelings of self-doubt are overwhelming, consider talking to a therapist. They can provide tools and techniques to cope effectively with anxiety linked to imposter syndrome. 5. **Practice Self-Compassion**: Treat yourself with kindness and understanding. Accept that everyone experiences self-doubt at times, and it's okay to feel this way. By addressing these feelings head-on, you can transform them into motivation for growth and self-improvement. Remember, you are not alone in your journey towards self-acceptance and fulfillment.
