my finshed game projects this month so far
Over the past month, I dedicated a significant amount of time to completing several game projects, each varying in complexity and style. One key takeaway from my experience was the importance of disciplined project management and consistent daily progress, which helped turn ideas into playable demos efficiently. During development, I utilized composition books extensively for sketching game mechanics, level designs, and storyboarding sequences. This analog approach complemented my digital workflow well, offering a tactile way to brainstorm and organize ideas. The composition books I used were wide-ruled, providing ample space for detailed notes, sketches, and planning. Another valuable insight was the focus on refining prototypes quickly. Rather than striving for perfection from the start, I prioritized creating functional versions and iteratively improving them based on gameplay feedback. This iterative design method proved essential for enhancing user experience and debugging effectively. Collaborating with a small group of testers also added great value. Their fresh perspectives helped identify issues I might have overlooked and inspired new features. It reinforced for me how vital community input can be in game development. In summary, completing several game projects within such a short timeframe taught me about balancing creativity and technical execution. Using traditional tools like composition books alongside modern software allowed a harmonious workflow. I encourage fellow developers to embrace structured planning and regular playtesting to bring their gaming ideas to life successfully.
