Ford GT40
This high-performance mid-engine supercar built by the Ford Motor Company was designed for eating the Scuderia Ferrari in European endurance racing and the World Sportscar Championships in the 60s. Later, street legal versions were produced with very slightly less powerful engines and upgraded safety and performance features. The vehicle in these images sports the powerful Roush 427R engine, so it's as close to a road rocket as one can get! It is owned by a local doctor in my hometown who has a passion for unique sports cars.
