Yup this is me.

It's not that I don't take situations seriously; rather, humor becomes my natural defense mechanism to relieve tension and manage stress. For example, during challenging moments at work or in personal life, a chuckle or a lighthearted comment can disrupt negative thoughts and create a moment of relief. This automatic shift to laughter isn't uncommon—many people experience it as a way to psychologically distance themselves from discomfort. Humor can act as a tool to regain control, helping me feel more grounded despite the seriousness of circumstances. It also makes it easier to connect with others who share similar feelings, turning potential isolation into a more supportive experience. From my point of view, allowing humor during dark times shouldn't be mistaken for avoidance. Instead, it's a human way of coping that can promote emotional resilience. When laughter bubbles up unexpectedly, I remind myself it is a healthy response, helping me navigate tough situations with a balanced mindset and a touch of lightness.
