Baby has slept through night since a month old🫣😴

Oh my goodness, getting a baby to sleep through the night feels like winning the lottery, doesn't it? When my little one started sleeping soundly by two months, I truly felt like I’d cracked some secret code! I know so many parents dream of this, and while every baby is unique, I wanted to share what truly worked for us in hopes it might help you too. First off, consistency was absolutely key. Around 6 weeks, we started establishing a very predictable bedtime routine. Every evening, usually between 7 and 8 PM, we’d begin with a warm bath. It was so calming for both of us! After the bath, it was time for a full feed. I made sure she got a really good, satisfying feed, sometimes even a ‘dream feed’ right before I went to bed, to ensure her tummy was full enough to last a good stretch. Then, it was into her sleep sack, followed by some soft lullabies or gentle rocking. We always made sure the room was dark and cool, with a white noise machine playing softly in the background. This became her cue that it was time for deep sleep. Another huge factor was helping her differentiate between day and night. During the day, we’d keep things bright and active. Lots of talking, playtime, and natural light. Naps happened in a moderately lit room, not pitch dark. But once evening hit, it was all about winding down. Dim lights, quiet voices – really emphasizing that nighttime was for sleep. This subtle difference really seemed to click for her. Learning to put her down 'drowsy but awake' was another game-changer. It took some practice, but instead of rocking her completely to sleep, I’d lay her down when she was sleepy but still had her eyes open. This helped her learn to self-settle. Of course, there were nights she cried, and I'd go in to comfort her, but I learned to wait a few minutes before rushing in, giving her a chance to soothe herself. It wasn't always easy, but it taught her an invaluable skill. Being patient and flexible was also important. There were growth spurts and minor regressions, but sticking to the routine as much as possible helped us get back on track quickly. Waking up to a rested baby after a full night's sleep is truly the best feeling, and hearing her little coos for 'GOODMORNING' is just priceless when you've both had proper rest. It makes all the effort absolutely worth it.
