The park offers more than 600 miles of hiking trails that immerse visitors in pristine wilderness, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventurers. One of the park’s highlights is the Hoh Rain Forest, where towering ancient trees and abundant wildlife create a magical atmosphere. Hikers can enjoy trails like the Hoh River Trail, which follows the river deep into the forest, offering a tranquil experience surrounded by moss-draped trees and ferns. The park's mountainous regions, including the Olympic Mountains, provide challenging hikes with rewarding panoramic views of valleys, alpine meadows, and glaciers. Popular routes include Hurricane Ridge, where easily accessible trails afford spectacular vistas and frequent wildlife sightings. For those interested in coastal landscapes, the park's shoreline features dramatic sea stacks, tide pools, and sandy beaches. The rugged coastline offers opportunities for beachcombing and studying unique marine ecosystems. Aside from hiking, visitors can engage in activities such as camping, bird watching, and photography, capturing the park's natural beauty across seasons. The Olympic National Forest adjacent to the park expands the outdoor opportunities with additional trails and recreational options. When planning a visit, it’s essential to check trail conditions and weather forecasts due to the park’s varied terrain and climate zones. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience while exploring the stunning scenery that makes Olympic National Park a treasured American landscape.

how do we not talk about this national park more!?
Ok ok, I know Olympic National Park is fairly well known, but the fact that it’s not in most people’s top three national park list is an absolute CRIME! Don’t get me wrong, I love Yellowstone and The Grand Canyon, but you will never get as much biodiversity in one place as Olympic National Park.
