What you see and what is underneath

... Read moreIn our daily lives, it's common to present a curated version of ourselves to the world—one that feels more acceptable or easier to navigate socially. However, beneath this surface often lies a rich and complex mix of emotions, thoughts, and experiences. From my own experience, I've found that acknowledging this hidden side—the one full of insecurities, fears, and hopes—can be incredibly liberating. Take for example the experience of overthinking or feeling overwhelmed; these are feelings many hide behind confident facades. When you allow yourself to embrace vulnerability, it can lead to authentic connections and personal growth. The delicate balance of being both strong and sensitive is part of what makes us human. Additionally, creative expression—whether through art, writing, or other means—can be a powerful way to reveal what we don’t always say out loud. It offers a channel to process our emotions and share pieces of our inner world. Just as the OCR content reflects, many of us hold wishes, fears of being a second choice, or a longing for genuine connection that aren’t immediately visible. Understanding this duality between how others perceive us and how we truly feel can improve empathy in relationships and increase self-awareness. By accepting both sides—the appearances and underneath—we open doors to loving and accepting all parts of ourselves.
