Reflecting on my own journey, I’ve come to understand that true growth often comes from moments that challenge us deeply—what some might call "hurt so good." When I prayed for God’s correction, it wasn’t about avoiding discomfort but about trusting that the process of being reshaped is guided by love and truth. Like the verse in Job 1:2 reminds us, humility is essential because everything we have is by God’s grace, and He has the power to give and take away. This realization helped me shift my perspective from resistance to acceptance. Instead of fearing correction, I began to welcome it as a necessary step toward a better version of myself. The pain or discomfort, while real, serves a higher purpose in aligning my heart with God’s will. Sharing this experience, I invite others who might be struggling with similar feelings to embrace their own moments of inner correction. It’s okay to feel hurt; it’s part of the process. But what matters is holding onto faith that through this, we emerge stronger, wiser, and more connected to our true selves and to God’s love. In practical terms, I found journaling my thoughts and prayers helped me stay grounded during challenging times of correction. Also, leaning on a community for support made a difference—knowing you’re not alone can ease the burden. Ultimately, choosing humility means recognizing that growth requires change, and change sometimes feels uncomfortable but leads to lasting transformation.
