April 18, 2015 - The First Date 👫🏽💕
Wow, it’s been 11 years. No matter how much time passes I still give you your flowers. You seen me when I lost sight of who I was.
As I continue to evolve and society changes, I appreciate our story even more. I’m still shocked I wrote book about our story.
Let me tell y’all how fun this date was. I never in my life seen someone drive like a driver in The Fast In Furious. (Ironically, we went to see that this night too) when I put my seat belt on he reached his arm out across me and said “Baby, don’t disrespect me, I got you. You good” and you know what? I believed him and for the remaining of that date and the days after, I never put on a seat belt. I just learned how to enjoy the ride because he really did have me, I was good.😂🤷🏽♀️
V’s Vibe was unmatched. If he had any insecurities I couldn’t tell because he never projected them on me. You hyped me up, supported me, and you really helped mold me into the Confident Woman I am today. 😌
This date is where the endless pictures, videos and voice messages began. I’m still grateful you did that. You were the only guy that could get me to take pictures and kiss him on the first date. 💙😂
Every time I hear “See You Again” it reminds me of this date & I always hear it at a time I need reassurance.
My message today is this: Love doesn’t have a time limit, it doesn’t matter the years, days, minutes or seconds. Dating should be fun. It shouldn’t feel like a job interview. How does the person you are dating make you feel? You could meet someone today that could give you 30 years worth of memories in 30 days. ☺️Stop thinking years with someone means love especially if you aren’t being treated well. Let your guard down, love on people who want to genuinely love you because we don’t know how long we have with them. 🖤
