Living in Texas for 3 years really changed me. Not for the bad but for good. I came back to Baltimore with stronger boundaries and a new level of maturity. I no longer fitted in the spaces I use to frequent here.
Like I said, it’s not a bad thing. My growth separated me from a lot of things, habits & people.
My old life is gone and the more I tried to entertain my old ways I felt trapped.
If you know me, then you know I hate feeling caged or controlled. I’m at my best when I can freely be myself. Last week, I moved & I’m truly at peace. I can’t wait to share all my beauty, fashion & new finds for the house. 🥰
P.S. I’m bringing my podcast back as well! Stay tune!
Moving to a new city can be a profound experience that reshapes your mental health and personal identity. My three years in Texas taught me valuable lessons about setting boundaries and embracing maturity that I hadn’t fully understood before. When I returned to Baltimore, I found that my old habits and social circles no longer fit who I had become. This is a natural part of growth—not losing yourself, but evolving into a better version with clearer priorities. One thing I learned firsthand is how important it is to create space where you can truly be yourself, free from feeling caged or controlled. Moving recently has given me a deep sense of peace, and it’s amazing how the environment can influence your mindset. I’m excited to explore new beauty and fashion interests, which are great outlets for self-expression. Plus, bringing back my podcast feels like the perfect way to connect with others on topics related to mental well-being and new beginnings. If you’re going through a similar transition or feeling stuck in old patterns, I encourage you to embrace the changes that come with growth. It might mean leaving behind familiar places or people, but it also opens doors to new passions and opportunities. Sometimes, moving isn’t just about changing your address—it’s about moving forward emotionally and mentally. Remember, healthier boundaries and a clearer sense of self provide the freedom to thrive in your own unique way.
