🍿Day 2: Legally Blonde
⭐️Rating: ★★★★★
Of course Legally Blonde has to be in here, Elle Woods is an 𝑖𝑐𝑜𝑛! The 2000s was very much about woman empowerment and independence, this movie was no exception. Elle Woods character developement throughout the movie was perfect, and she always kept her core values close to her. Respectful and not as judegmental of others as they were to her, even when others appear to have more depth and intelligence, it actually shows how people’s arrogance and egos turn them into bigots despite their high status and IQs. An amazing watch 💕
Okay, so besides Elle Woods being an absolute icon for her resilience and smarts, can we talk about her *style*? Seriously, her pink outfits are legendary! I mean, who else could rock a full pink ensemble to Harvard and make it look like pure power? The iconic image of Reese Witherspoon as Elle, smiling in her signature pink sunglasses with Bruiser, her adorable chihuahua, in his matching pink sweater, is just burned into my brain from the movie poster. It’s not just fashion; it’s a statement about staying true to yourself, no matter what others think. Every time I see a movie still of her in one of those vibrant pink outfits, it just screams confidence. Speaking of Bruiser, he's definitely one of my favorite movie dogs of all time! The way Elle carries him around in her designer bag, always by her side – it’s just peak early 2000s chic and shows her incredibly caring side. He's not just a prop; he's an integral part of her personality and even helps her connect with others. I remember looking at the Legally Blonde movie poster for the first time and thinking, 'I need a dog that stylish!' The film, which came out in 2001, really captured something special. It wasn't just about a 'blonde girl' trying to win back a guy; it was about proving everyone wrong, especially those who judged her based on her appearance. From her initial struggles to be taken seriously at Harvard Law to ultimately winning her first major case, Elle Woods constantly defied expectations. I've watched it countless times as part of my own 'Movie Diaries,' and each time, I pick up on new nuances about her strength and intelligence. Her famous 'bend and snap' might be iconic, but her sharp legal arguments and unwavering belief in justice are where she truly shines. And for those detail-oriented fans out there, remember that scene where Elle is watching TV in her dorm room, taking a break from her intense studies? I always wondered what movie or show she was engrossed in! Turns out, it's the classic soap opera 'Days of Our Lives' – a fun little Easter egg that adds another layer to her relatable, human side. It just goes to show, even legal scholars need their downtime! The movie's lasting impact, especially for 'girls' like me growing up, is immense. It taught me that intelligence comes in many forms and that being feminine doesn't mean you can't be brilliant, powerful, and successful. Reese Witherspoon perfectly embodied Elle Woods, making her relatable, funny, and incredibly inspiring. She showed us that you can be both stylish and smart, challenging outdated stereotypes. It’s a timeless story of self-discovery, standing up for what you believe in, and finding your true calling, all wrapped up in the most fabulous pink package. Seriously, if you haven't rewatched this gem recently, add 'Legally Blonde' to your watchlist – it's a pure dose of joy and empowerment that never gets old!

Definitely in my top 5! I love Legally Blonde!🥰💕
