Basic Kindle $99 worth it?

I'm doing a quick review on my kindle because I was between getting the paper white kindle or basic kindle for $99. I was looking into purchasing a kindle to get back into reading, so I decided to purchase the most basic kindle to see if I would actually stick to reading. 📚
I can honestly say I'm glad I went with the cheapest kindle I could find because it serves its purpose entirely. I love the size of this kindle and the 6" display I think it is absolutely perfect. I love how the display does not emit blue light, the brightness is adjustable, and it also gives you the option to choose to read in night mode. It's very easy on the eyes. Does not take up a lot of space. The battery life??? CHEFS KISS 🤌🏻.
I don't know about everyone else, but personally I feel more motivated to do things when they are aesthetic/romanticized so I love how there are so many kindle sleeves/cases/stickers to where you can change the appearance of your kindle every so often (mine is currently repping it's title of emotional support kindle).
Do I like this better than a physical book? My honest answer is yes. Don't get me wrong, I love books and using my book marks/book lights but I have sensory issues when it comes to paper so the kindle was honestly a perfect swap in my case. I also love how you can get your reading insights to see what months you read the most in the app and set a goal for yourself on how many books you want to read within the year for accountability/motivation.
Should you invest in a kindle if you're considering it? YES. Most of the time ebooks are cheaper that regular books, or if you spring for the kindle unlimited there are so many amazing books on there as well and the membership is $11/m. This really helped me get back into reading after I had not read in years. I forgot how much I loved it and now I get to relax and unwind with a good book. ✨❤️
