After giving birth, many of us face the challenge of returning to our pre-pregnancy weight, just like I did. I started my journey weighing 90kg during pregnancy, and shortly after delivery, I was 80kg. It felt overwhelming, but I was determined to regain my fitness. Over time, I managed to lose an incredible 23kg, bringing me down to 57kg. What helped me most was setting realistic goals and understanding that every body responds differently. I combined a balanced diet with regular physical activity tailored to my energy levels. Walking and light exercises initially, then gradually increasing intensity, helped me stay consistent without injury. Support from friends, family, and online communities in the UK, Canada, and California provided motivation and valuable advice throughout the process. Importantly, I learned to be patient and kind to myself because weight loss after pregnancy is not just physical—it’s emotional and mental as well.
