Decorating our entire house without arguing 😂🏡
Instead of sending screenshots back and forth or losing inspiration in our camera rolls, we started using the Shared Album feature in the Photos app.
Every time one of us finds inspiration, we add it to the album. Then we:
🤍 Comment on ideas
👍 “Like” our favorites
👎 Vote down the ones that don’t fit our vision
💬 Leave notes for each room
It’s honestly become our visual drawing board .
So far we’ve picked our bedroom style, and next up is the living room, kitchen, and guest room. Watching our home come together one decision at a time has been one of my favorite parts of this journey. ❤️
If you’re decorating with your partner, I highly recommend trying a Shared Album. It keeps everything organized and makes every decision feel like something you’re building together.
Would you choose the moody black room, the emerald modern room, or did the safari room deserve to be roasted? 😂👇

👍Pros :
When decorating a home, disagreements can often arise, but we found a solution that kept us on the same page: the Shared Album feature in the Photos app. This simple tool became our go-to visual board, where every inspiration was collected in one place, eliminating the clutter and confusion of endless screenshots or scattered ideas. By adding photos and ideas to the Shared Album, we created a digital vision board that made collaboration seamless. We used comments to share thoughts, "likes" to highlight favorites, and votes to gently filter out ideas that didn't fit our style. Leaving room-specific notes helped us keep track of where we wanted to take each space individually, whether it was the moody black room, emerald modern room, or the wild safari-themed space. This approach turned decision-making into a fun, interactive experience, much like building something together rather than compromising endlessly. Over time, we found that the Shared Album not only saved time but also kept our design vision aligned. It fostered communication, creativity, and most importantly, harmony in our decorating journey. If you’re tackling home decor as a couple or even with friends or family, I highly recommend trying this method. It brings organization and a sense of teamwork to the process. Plus, it lets you revisit your ideas whenever inspiration strikes without losing track of your goals. Watching our home come together, one room at a time, with minimal disagreements has truly been a highlight of this project.
